Ways to Contribute

Contribute money, goods or services, individually or through your company, school or organization. Individual contributions, corporate support, foundation grants and special events fund the Make-A-Wish Foundation®. The Foundation accepts the donation of securities, automobiles or real estate, and deferred gifts such as bequests, life insurance and charitable trusts. In-kind contributions of goods and services are also important.

All funds raised are used to fulfill the Foundation's mission in Sacramento and Northeastern California. Make-A-Wish does not engage in either telephone or door-to-door solicitations. Of money donated, approximately 82% of every dollar donated goes directly toward program services, 13% pays fundraising expenses and 5% goes towards administrative costs and supplies.

Gift Certificates to groceries stores (for wish party deliveries)
Gift Certificates to Best Buy, Curcuit City or other electronic Stores in increments of $10
Blockbuster Gift Cards in increments of $10
Gift Cards to Walmart or Target Stores
Travel Journals
Books on tape/CD (for families that drive to wish)
Light-weight ponchos
Coloring Books/Activity Books with Crayons
Portable CD Players with Gift Cards to purchase music in increments of $10
Disney or any Travel Stickers
Small First Aid Kits
Toys for all ages (2 ½ through 18) Please, no stuffed animals
Themed Party Supplies Sets (Cups, Plates, Napkins, Silverware, Tablecloth)
Luggage with wheels (Please call office first)
Beach Bags
Blow-up Beach Balls
Beach Towels
Prepaid Phone Cards (Domestic & International)
